23 Apr BOD FINANCIAL GROUP IS GROWING AND CONSOLIDATING THROUGH ITS COMPANIES
Caracas.- BOD and Bancamérica, both BOD Financial Group companies, rendered account of their effort and performance during the first quarter of the year, a sample of the consortium enhancement in the countries in which it operates.
In Caracas, BOD Universal Bank made by the end of March its Extraordinary Shareholders Assembly, where the operational management summary was shown, with indicators of an important growth within the national financial sector, allowing it to achieve new spaces in the different development areas of Venezuela.
In this shareholders meeting, a worth growth at the closing of 2018 was clearly shown, set to 39.085,41% higher compared to the first semester of the year. Also the evolution rates of the investment and credit portfolios, placed in 42.530,93% and 4.175,00% compared to the previous semester, placing itself in the first and third respectively, in the financial system and private banking ranking.
In the course of the second semester of 2018, the organization achieved to record a NPL ratio of 0,10%, reflecting the responsibility of the clients towards their credit commitments, trusting in BOD to accomplish their projects and business ideas.
In the social field, the institution held its commitment to the country through programs made by BOD Foundation. Kangaroo Mother Care program highlights the institution’s labor carried out at the Concepcion Palacios Maternity Hospital, supporting the timely and effective attention to premature babies, jointly with UNICEF. During this semester medical supplies and furnishing were donated, to keep giving an excellent attention to the premature babies treated at the health Centre.

Besides, in Santo Domingo, Bancamérica which is another financial arm of the group, announced the preparations of its X Anti-Money Laundering Congress, planed for next May 15 and 16th. In this occasion the meeting will be dedicated to the potential risk events and the challenges of the mutual evaluation of the Financial Action Group of Latin America (GAFILAT)
The congress which is going to be carried out at the Real Internacional Hotel, will include the participation of speakers such as Adrián Sánchez from Mexico, the Argentineans Ricardo Sabela and Lorenzo Vila, Oscar Moratto from Colombia, Marco Antonio Bravo from Chile, Guillermo Omar García from Paraguay, Juan Carlos Medina from Peru and the Venezuelan Edwards Carvajal.
